PFL seeks intervention of HR groups
Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Peoples’ Freedom League secretary general Muhammad Rafiq Ganai has strongly condemned house arrest of pro-freedom leaders on Eid-ul-Fitr.
Addressing a Friday prayer meeting at Jamia Masjid Rawalpora here, Ganai said “preventing the pro-freedom leaders from offering Eid prayers was the interference in the religious affairs of people.”
Meanwhile, another League senior leader Haji Ghulam Ahmad Parray also addressed a Friday prayer meeting at Jamia Masjid Mirpora, Pahalgam, in south Kashmir.
Expressing serious concern over the alleged human rights violations, the League leader appealed to the international human rights organizations to exert pressure on New Delhi to put an immediate halt to these ‘violations’.
