Govt contemplates to regularize 3000 daily wagers

Jammu, Aug 27: Jammu and Kashmir government is contemplating to regularize at least 3000 daily wagers serving in various departments.
 Official sources told Greater Kashmir that the finance department has approved the proposal in this direction and formal decision is likely to be taken in the state cabinet meeting, to be held this week.
 “The cabinet note has been prepared and we are expecting that the proposal will get through”, sources said.
 The regularization of the daily wagers was one of the key demands of various government employees’ unions in the state and was agreed upon by the government its meetings with Joint Consultative Committee of the unions.
 Meanwhile, sources said that a proposal for creation of additional posts of Village Level Workers is also expected to get the cabinet nod, this week.
 The cabinet will also discuss the formal proposal for construction of a flyover from Government Woman College Gandhi Nagar to Bikram Chowk in its next meeting, sources said.
