Khonmoh-XI, Baba Adam Sahib Club win matches

FAZIL KANTH T20 CRICKET TOURNAMENT

Srinagar, Aug 1: Khonmoh-XI and Baba Adam Sahib Cricket Club won their respective matches in Fazil Kanth Memorial T20 cricket tournament played at Islamia College ground here on Thursday.
 In the first match, Khonmoh-XI defeated Young Cricket Club Hazratbal by 83 runs. Batting first Khonmoh-XI amassed a total of 199 runs for the loss of six wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Waseem Akram with 41 runs and Imran Ahmad with 39 were highest scorers for them while as Fazil and Reyaz took two wickets each for YCC.
 In reply, YCC Hazratbal was bundled out for 116 runs. Waseem Raja with 27 and Aijaz with 23 were the notable scorers for them. For Khonmoh-XI, Waseem took four wickets while as Jan Muhammad and Shahid took two wickets each.
 In the second match of the day, Baba Adam Sahib Cricket Club defeated YCC Parimpora by five wickets. Batting first, YCC was all out for 109 runs. Jan Muhammad with 27 and Muhammad Amin with 22 were highest scorers for them.
 For Baba Adam Club Gulzar took four wickets while as Gowhar took two.
 In reply, Baba Adam Club achieved the required target for the loss of five wickets. Irshad with 33 runs was highest scorer for them while as Tahir scored 19.
 The event is being organised by Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association.
