Trader fined for selling misfit dry fruit

Srinagar, Aug 3: A trader has been fined for selling misfit dry-fruits as its packing was void of proper labelling, an official handout said.
 “The field executives of the department of Legal Metrology  Srinagar wing conducted market inspections of several markets of the City and booked twelve  erring traders for violating Weights and Measures laws/Packaged Commodities Rules,” it said.
 “In an instance, a trader at Nishat locality was offering sale of dry-fruit packages which were found without adequate labelling,” it said adding an aggregate fine of Rs 500 was recovered during the inspection.
