Lal Chowk, Jawahir Nagar Municipal Wards get helpline
Srinagar, Aug 3: In the wake of growing dust, the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) has started a special sanitation drive in the City centre, an official handout said.
The SMC handout said sanitation drive at MA Road was started under the supervision of Chief Sanitation Officer Manzoor Ahmed Turray and Ward Officer Sofi Muhammad Akbar.
“Number of Saffaiwallas swept off the entire stretch of MA Road and washed off all the footpaths within the stretch. Sucker machines/water tankers were deputed for cleaning of the area,” the handout said.
“The sanitation drive will continue for three days till all the areas falling within the Lal Chowk Ward get benefited,” Sofi Muhammad Akbar said.
Meanwhile Akbar who heads the Lal Chowk and Jawahir Nagar Municipal Wards said he has raised a helpline hoarding near Budshah Chowk.
“For redressal of grievances pertaining to sanitation or building constructions people should feel free to call me at 9419001894,” he said.
