‘Remove weeds from Dal Lake’
Srinagar, Aug 4: The Shikarawalas today appealed LAWDA to launch a drive for removing weeds from the Dal Lake.
A delegation of Shikarawalas told Greater Kashmir: “For past few months LAWDA have not started any drive for removing weeds from the lake as result of which, it has spread.”
“It has become very difficult for us to row boats in the Dal Lake, particularly around the area behind the houseboats near Boulevard,” the delegation of Shikarawalas said.
The delegation appealed to the VC LAWDA to initiate action in this regard immediately.
