Biz School organises workshop on research methodology

Srinagar, Aug 8: Vice Chancellor, Kashmir University, Professor Talat Ahmad Wednesday inaugurated a week-long workshop on Research Methodology for the scholars and the faculty of the KU Business School.
Present at the inaugural function were experts from some reputed universities of the country, faculty and scholars of the Business School and allied departments.
Prof Talat Ahmad on this occasion emphasized the need to develop strong acumen of Research Methodology among the faculty and the scholars of the University.
He said that adopting sound Research Methodology tools can make “our research more result oriented and meaningful.”
He said that by adopting latest trends and tools in the area of Research Methodology “we can address most of our problems and can make our decision making more effective and efficient.”
Vice Chancellor lauded the “efforts” of the Business School and its Director in striving to achieve excellence through strengthening academic collaborations and fostering an environment of excellence within the Business School.
Prof A M Shah, Dean Academic Affairs, KU in his address highlighted the role of Research Methodology in extending the frontiers of knowledge in today’s globalised environment.
Prof Shabir A Bhat, Director Business School said: “Choosing the appropriate research methodology and formulating the research questions is not an easy and clear cut process as it appears to be. It is a piece of art and the scholars must go deep into depths of research process while pursuing their research.”
