Jagjit club tops group-B

Baramulla, Aug 8: Sailing on the superb performance of two goals from center forward, Pardeep Singh, Jagjit Club on Tuesday topped group-B to qualify for the semifinals of the District Baramulla Hockey Championship going on at Government Degree College Ground Khawaja Bagh, Baramulla.
In today’s league encounter, Jagjit Club defeated Khalsa Blues Baramulla by goals to nil. Janmeet Singh netted the ball first by converting a penalty corner in the 10th minute of the game. Leading by a goal in the first half, Jagjit Club added three more goals. Pardeep Singh scored two goals in the 55th and 60th minute of the game while Gurpreet Singh sounded the board in the 57th minute. Today’s match was officiated by Rajinder Singh (Jr) and Maninder Singh.
