Foil evil designs of vested interests
Srinagar: The chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement Zaffar Akbar Bhat has strongly condemned the blasphemy by a foreign shoe company, terming it a deliberate attempt to hurt the religious sentiments.
Addressing a gathering at Aaribagh in Chadoora, Zaffar urged people to maintain unity and mutual bonhomie to foil the evil designs of vested interests.
He said anti-movement elements and several agencies were trying to create a wedge in the unity of people mostly Muslims. “They are also trying to create misunderstanding between Shia and Sunni communities,” he said, adding that “people who have been struggling together for the just cause should keep vigil on anti-movement and anti-Kashmiri elements who are trying to divide them on sectarian lines.”
Meanwhile, Zaffar also strongly expressed serious concern over the arrest of dozens of youth and aged civilians by police during nocturnal house raids in Srinagar city. He also demanded immediate release of the youth. He appealed to the civil society and religious leaders to come forward to defeat the anti-Muslim forces and ensure mutual peace and harmony.
