Subsidy announced for IG units in Baramulla
Baramulla, Nov 30: About Rs. 56.34 lakh would be given as subsidy for the establishment of 431 Income Generating Units under SWARNJAYANTI GRAM SWAROZGAR YOJANA (SGSY) in district Baramulla.
81 Self Help Groups have been established in the district.
This was given out in a meeting of Rural Development Officers convened by Additional District Development Commissioner, Baramulla here today.
The meeting was informed that Rs. 3.67 crore have been expended for construction of 12682 lavatories under the Nirmal Bharat-Abhiyan (NBA) scheme while under Indira Awas Yojana (IAY), out of 3235 houses, 1425 houses have been constructed besides 99 houses have been taken up for upgradation.
The concerned officers were asked to expedite the construction work under NBA and IAY schemes in the district to ameliorate the weaker section of the society.
