Khayal translates ' Valley of Kashmir' in Urdu
Srinagar, Dec 14: Eminent poet, writer and journalist Ghulam Nabi Khayal has completed Urdu translation of the Valley of Kashmir by Sir Walter R Lawrence, first published in 1895 AD.
The translation was assigned to Khayal by National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language (NCPUL), Government of India, New Delhi and it took the translator more than five years to accomplish the task of translating this epoch making book about 19th century Kashmir.
The publication is being brought out later this month.
Khayal is now rendering into Urdu C E Tyndale Biscoe’s interesting book titled Kashmir in Sunlight and shade also under the auspices of NCPUL.
