St Joseph School staffer booked for swindling CP Fund
Srinagar, December 14: Police has filed chargesheet against the Treasurer of St Joseph Higher Secondary School Baramulla for fraudulently withdrawing 42 lakh from CP Fund account of the school employees.
The accused treasurer identified as Javed Ahmad Wani S/O Ghulam Muhammad Wani of Delina, Baramulla was arrested in October this year and an FIR no. 139/012 under sections: 406, 420, 467, 468 and 471 was lodged against him in police station Baramulla.
Giving details of the case, a police spokesman said that on 12 July 2012, Principal St Joseph Higher Secondary School Baramulla lodged a complaint alleging that while scrutinizing CP Fund accounts of the school staff huge discrepancies have come to fore.
A special investigation team (SIT) was constituted under the supervision of DySP headquarter Baramulla. SIT seized documents/withdrawal forms, paying-in-slips from J&K Bank Branch Baramulla.
During the investigation, it came to light that CP Fund was withdrawn by the Treasurer Javid Ahmad by forging signatures of the principal and staff members.
After completing the investigations, chargesheet was filed today against the culprit in the court of law.
