JKFA hails Khanyari's appointment as Secy

Srinagar, Dec 15: Jammu and Kashmir Football Association President Zamir Ahmad Thakur has hailed the J&K Bank management for appointing Showkat Ahmad Khanyari as Secretary of the Bank’s Sports Board.
In a statement Thakur said, “Khanyari is the right candidate for the post and his contributions in the past for the upliftment of game of football are immense. We hope Khanyari sahib will carry forward the mission of J&K Bank to promote football in the state.”
He said that the valuable experience of Khanyari will benefit the J&K football in general and J&K Bank in particular.
Khanyari a senior executive in the JK Bank has remained Secretary J&K Football Players Welfare Association led by veteran footballer of the state Farooq Ahmad. He will replace Mohammad Amin Khan as Secretary of the Bank’s Sports Board.who is attaining age of superannuation later this month.
