Terming him founder of the JK Bank football team, JK Bank President and Vice-Chairman Sports Board, Abdul Hamid Banday, said, “It goes to the credit of Muhammad Ahmad Khan who formed JK Bank football team and made the whole State proud”.
The Sports Board on Saturday replaced Khan as a secretary with Showkat Ahmad Khanyari as Khan is attaining age of superannuation later this month.
“He may be leaving JK Bank after giving his services for the institute for last 35 years but his contribution in the promotion of the sports and particularly JK Bank football team can’t be ignored,” Banday said.
The Sports Board Vice-Chairman has also hailed the newly appointed secretary Showkat Ahmad Khanyari and hoped that under his guidance JK Bank football team would achieve new heights.
“Showkat is former national level footballer and knows everything related to the game. He has been associated with sports through different organisations and that is certainly going to help JK Bank,” Banday said.
