‘Rs 847 cr advances in district Srinagar’
Srinagar, Dec 18: An amount of Rs 847.22 crores have been advanced by the various financial institutions in district Srinagar during the current financial year upto ending September 2012 for which 26315 income generating units have been established.
This information was revealed in District Consultative Committee (DCC) meeting held here today under the Chairmanship of District Development Commissioner, Srinagar, Baseer Ahmad Khan.
The meeting was attended by Joint Director Planning, Srinagar, Basharat Ahmad Makhdoomi, Lead Bank Officer, Manzoor Ahmad Tantray, District Officers and the representatives of Reserve Bank of India, Dinesh Chandra and NABARD, Desraj Jaryal.
While reviewing the achievements of financial institutions, the meeting was told that under the Agriculture sector Rs. 37.52 crore were advanced during the same period in the district, while as Rs. 107.73 crores were advance under the Small Enterprises sector and Rs. 12.83 crore were also advanced under the Micro Credit sector in the district.
The meeting was also told that Rs. 9.86 crore were sanctioned under the Education sector in the district while as Rs. 117.90 crore were advanced under the Priority sector. As many as Rs. 562.17 crore were advanced under the Non-Priority sector in the district Srinagar during the same period.
