Army school bags award
Srinagar, Dec 1: Army Public School Srinagar has received the “best academic maximum progress award trophy” along with a cash prize of Rs. 50,000, at Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) Head Quarter for meritorious performance in the session 2011-12, an official handout said.
“The Principal of APS Srinagar, Sandeep Marhatta, was bestowed with the trophy at a splendid function held at AWES Head-Quarter Shankar Vihar on 23rd November 2012 by Lt Gen Sanjiv Chachra,” it added.
“Applauding the Principal and the entire staff of APS Srinagar, AWES observed that attainments of the school in academic field were commendable,” the handout added.
“It is for the first time that AWES has taken this initiative of presenting the best academic maximum progress award trophy and is certainly a moment of tremendous joy and jubilation for APS Srinagar to receive such honour for attaining zenith in academics during the aforesaid period,” it added.
The school Principal Sandeep Marhatta “rejoiced for the same and gave its due credit to the entire faculty for aggrandizement of the school.”
“It is evidently the creditability and gumption of my worthy faculty members to win laurels for the school and I give my cordial congratulation to the entire APS family for making such attainments possible through sincere and dedicated efforts”, Marhatta added.
