Div Com chairs HLC meeting
Srinagar, Dec 22: Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon today chaired a High Level Committee (HLC) meeting to discuss cases of land acquisition cases for widening of Pantha Chowk-Zewan road, Habba Kadal-Nai Sadak and Syed Mirak Shah Road.
On the occasion the Divisional Commissioner took strong note of the inordinate delay by JKPCC in completion of the commercial complex, near Exhibition Grounds Jahangir Chowk for rehabilitation of the shopkeepers.
“This has caused delay in starting the work for construction of Elevated Expressway Corridor (Flyover) from Jahangir Chowk to Ram Bagh-Natipora,” the Divisional Commissioner said.
He also directed the concerned officers of ERA to initiate process for return of prefab structures constructed at Jahangir Chowk, for temporary rehabilitation of shopkeepers of Kabadi market.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Baseer Ahmed Khan, Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Dr. G.N. Qasba, Vice Chairman, Srinagar Development Authority, Farooq Renzu Shah, Superintending Engineer, Circular Road Project, Farooq Andrabi, Chief Town Planner Kashmir, Iftikhar Ahmed Hakim.
