Mian Altaf distributes relief among specially abled persons
Ganderbal, Dec 22: Minister for Forests, Environment and Ecology, Mian Altaf Ahmad today said that government is committed to provide every possible help and aid to the differently abled persons of the society, adding these persons are the part of the society.
The Minister was addressing a disbursement cum awareness camp at Wayil Ganderbal which was jointly organized by Department of Social Welfare and Hope Disability Centre Ganderbal.
On the occasion, the Minister distributed Rs. 4 lakhs in the form of cheques among 40 handicapped persons and destitute of the area under National Family Benefit Scheme (NFBS).
Main Altaf also distributed Rs. 1.15 lakh as post-matric scholarship among 33 students of the area.
Altaf said Government provides huge financial assistance to the physically challenged people and there are various new schemes in pipeline to provide succor to this community.
