Sheikh Abdullah gave people the right to stand up against tyranny: Dr Kamal
Srinagar, Dec 22: Additional General Secretary of National Conference Dr Mustafa Kamal said Saturday that his father late Shiekh Muhammad Abdullah gave Kashmiris the right to stand up against tyranny.
“From Land to tiller act by Sheikh Abdullah in 1950 to Public Service Guarantee Act by Omar Abdullah, the policies of National Conference remained people friendly and progressive,” he said at a day’s convention at Pampore.
“Vision of a prosperous, self-reliant farmer was seen and realized by National Conference's founder. The most beneficiaries from the Land Reforms Act were lakhs of poor tillers from Jammu & Kashmir,” said Kamal
Speaking on the occasion, Ali Muhammad Dar, the Provincial President of J&K National Conference, said that sarpanches and panches need special applaud from their massive participation.
The party spokesman Tanvir Sadiq said the overwhelming victory of coalition candidates was a jolt to PDP leadership who indulged in malicious propaganda against the coalition and tried their best to create wedge between the workers of Congress and National Conference at grassroots.
