DDC felicitates teachers for achieving 100% results
MATRIC EXAMS
Islamabad (Anantnag), Dec 23: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Islamabad (Anantnag), Farooq Ahmad Shah has hailed the government schools of this south Kashmir district for their exceptional performance in the recently declared secondary school examination.
Speaking in a function organized to felicitate the heads and teachers of the government schools which achieved cent percent results, the DDC said: “I appreciate the teachers for the dedication and hard work they have put in due to which the students have shown good performances in the exams”.
He also congratulated meritorious students and wished him success in their career.
“I appeal the teachers of government schools to put emphasis on quality education so that parents don’t shy away from admitting their wards in government schools,” Shah said.
DDC said that education is among his top priorities and he would put all his efforts to streamline this sector in the district. “I will ensure that the schools have proper infrastructure, quality laboratories, computer labs, libraries, sanitation facilities besides efficient staff,” he added.
Later the schools which had achieved 100 percent results were given citations while as the students featuring among the top 20 positions were also awarded on the occasion. Chief Education Officer (CEO) Islamabad (Anantnag) and Senior Superintendent of Police ( SSP), Islamabad (Anantnag) RK Jalla were also present on the occasion.
Later, the physically challenged students of Helpline Bijbehara presented a cultural program on the occasion.
