HDFC Bank opens branch at Baramulla

Baramulla, Dec 24: Continuing with its expansion plans, HDFC Bank today opened its 52nd branch in J&K at Baramulla. It is the second branch by the bank in this district.
Amongst the private banks, HDFC Bank has currently the largest network of 52 branches and 136 ATMs in the state. The branch was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla, Ghulam Ahmed Khawaja.
The new branch will offer customers world-class banking services under one roof ranging from basic services such as Savings Account, Fixed Deposits, Current Account, Mutual Funds, Insurance, Kisan Apple Finance, Gold Card, Tractor Loans, Two-wheeler loan, Auto loan, Commercial vehicles to sophisticated direct access banking channels such as ATM, PhoneBanking, NetBanking and HDFC Bank International Credit and Debit Cards.
Speaking at the launching ceremoney, Zubair Iqbal, Vice President & Circle Head (J&K), said, “The bank has shown tremendous growth in last 2 years and from 10 branches & 20 ATMs in April 2011, we have increased our network to 52 branches and 136 ATMs. This large scale expansion has generated employment avenues to more than 1000 state subjects.”
“During same time, the bank has taken its CD ratio in the state to 38 per cent. Bank has also contributed significantly in priority Sector and Agriculture.”
