Harwan cricket tournament concludes
New Theed-XI beat Chandpora in final
Srinagar, Dec. 26: New-Theed XI lifted the Harwan Cricket tournament title defeating Chandpora Cricket Club by 30 runs in the final played on Wednesday.
Bating first New-Theed XI made 170 runs in 25 overs. Manzoor Reshi and Hilal Ahmad made 48 and 38 runs respectively. Chasing the target of 170, Chandpora Cricket Club was all out for 140 runs only in 23 overs. Hilal Ahmad of New-Theed XI was declared man of the series for making 178 runs and taking 14 wickets in the series. Manzoor Reshi of New Theed XI was declared man of the match for making 48 runs and taking 4 wickets in the finals.
Tahseen Rafiq Dar and Haseeb-bin-Zahoor of Harwan were congratulated for being selected in Sehwaag Academy New Dehli and J&K Under 14 teams recently.
