HDFC Bank commissions 53rd branch in JK

Srinagar, Dec 26: HDFC Bank, second largest private sector bank in the country, today commissioned a branch with ATM at Hazratbal, here. This is the 53rd branch by the bank in the state.
Prof Talat Ahmad, Vice Chancellor, University of Kashmir, inaugurated the branch at a simple but impressive function.
M.Y. Qadri, Vice Chairman, Muslim Waqf Borad who was also present on the occasion inaugurated the ATM.
The inaugural function was attended by dignitaries from University and HDFC Bank including Prof Shabir Ahmad Bhat, Director Business School, Iftikhar Ahmed, Deputy Vice President, HDFC Bank, Showket Nahvi, Assistant Vice President, HDFC Bank, and respectable people from the locality.
Vice Chancellor speaking on the occasion appreciated the growth and expansion plans of the bank and bringing world class services to the door steps of the people.
Vice Chancellor expressed hope that bank will generate more employment avenues for students of Business School and Department of Financial Studies.
