JKTDC to organize special feast, music, cracker shows
Srinagar, Dec 28: Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Development Corporation (JKTDC) would organize special feast , lucky draw besides cracker and live music shows in the summer capital on the eve of New Year.
JKTDC will offer special Chinese and Mughlai dishes in its Nunkun and Chesmashahi restaurants respectively at economical rates, officials said.
“We have devised special menu for locals and tourists on the eve of New Year on December 31. Our guests can enjoy sumptuous dinner at our Nunkun and Chesmashahi outlets just for Rs 499 per person with complimentary lucky draw, soft drinks, Kehva and live music show by famous Jhankaar group,” said Shamim Wani, General Manager JKTDC Operations and Travel Division.
“We would also organize a mega cracker show at Nehru Park on the banks of Dal lake to welcome the New Year,” Shamim said.
The JKTDC’s Zaiqa restaurant at Chesmashahi would offer special Mughai dishes on New Year eve.
“Our experienced cooks prepare quality dishes which are appreciated by our visitors including large number of foreigners. As compared to Rs 29,75,000 in 2011, we have realized revenue of Rs 38,23,815 this year,” said the restaurant’s manager Ali Muhammad Sheikh.
The restaurant has been renovated recently and is laced with state- of- the -art furniture and heating arrangements, officials said.
JKTDC also plans to organize Bengali and Gujrati food festivals at Chesmashahi in next few months. “Our objective is to provide best and affordable services to our valued guests,” said Satish Nehru Managing Director JKTDC.
