5 die, 10 injured in accidents
Kishtwar/Poonch, Dec 2: At least five persons died and ten others sustained injuries in two separate road accidents in Kishtwar and Poonch districts on Sunday.
Police said that a vehicle (No. JK14-6314) on way to Himachal from Kishtwar met with an accident on Paddar-Chamba road this evening. In the accident at least four persons died on the spot while three others were injured.
Meanwhile, one person died and seven others sustained injures when a minibus, in which they were traveling in, skidded off the Mandi-Poonch road, police said.
It said that the ill-fated mini bus was on way from Mandi to Poonch. The deceased was identified as Abdul Jabbar son of Abdul Samar of Bandi Kama Khan, Mandi.
All the injured were shifted to district hospital Poonch, from where five of them were referred to Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu.
