Accounts employees appeal govt

Srinagar, Dec 2: The Accounts Employees’ Association Kashmir today appealed the government to confirm the promotion of Chief Accounts Officers, Accounts Officers and Assistant Accounts Officers.
The association also demanded promotion of Accounts Assistants, Accountants and Assistant Accounts Officers.
At a meeting here today with its president Shakir Hussain, the association members demanded that government should immediately confirm the promotion of CAOs AOs and AAOs, besides promoting Accounts Assistants, Accountants and Assistant Accounts Officers.
The meeting expressed dismay over what they said procrastination of the authorities in addressing their issues.
“Our demands are pending for a long time now yet the authorities are not taking any steps to address them,” the association in a statement said.
"We have apprised the authorities a number of times seeking redress of our grievences, but to no avail," it said.
