Kashmiri management professional bags CII award
Srinagar, Dec 2: A Kashmiri management professional has been conferred upon “Best HR Practices” award by India’s prestigious industry body, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
Sofi Zahoor, Senior Director Human Resource – India and Japan Operations for the US-based Quark Inc received the award for his outstanding contribution at a conference jointly organised by the CII in association with Software Technology Park India (STPI) in Chandigarh.
Zahoor is the first management professional from Kashmir to have been honoured by the apex industry body if the country, a statement here said.
The conference was attended by S Gopalakrishnan, President Designate, CII & Co-Founder and Executive Co-Chairman, Infosys Limited, Adesh Partap Singh Kairon, IT Minister Haryana, Kris Gopalakrishnan, Co-Founder & Executive Co-Chairman, Infosys Ltd and Dr Omkar Rai, Director General, STPI besides over 500 including IT entrepreneurs, experts and practitioners.
Last year, Zahoor became the first management expert to have been invited by Mauritian Government to promote the country as a regional ICT/Knowledge Hub.
