62 meritorious students rewarded
Srinagar, Dec 29: Director School Education Kashmir Muhammad Shafi Rather on Saturday felicitated the toppers of class 10th and 12th examination of 2011 here.
Rather distributed Rs 2 lakh among 62 meritorious students of both the classes during a function held at SP Higher Secondary School here today. Expressing satisfaction over performance of government schools in matriculation exams, Rather said that the State government is committed to improve the quality of education.
“The State Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has taken revolutionary steps for improving infrastructure in government schools. Teachers should also fulfill expectations of the society and play positive role in securing future of children,” Rather said.
