Relief distributed among Leper Colony inmates
Srinagar, Dec 30: Shaheen Sports Syndicate (SSS) on Sunday distributed relief among the inmates of the Leper Colony at Bahrar here.
During the function, the SSS distributed blankets, rice, cookers and clothing among the inmates.
On the occasion Chairman SSS Showkat Ahmad Khanyari highlighted objective
of SSS towards helping needy.
”The society which neglects poor and needy persons can never achieve their goal of prosperity and success. I appeal the civil society and prosperous people of the Valley to come forward and help the needy and underprivileged sections of the society,” Khanyari said.
On the occasion, Vice Chairperson Srinagar Development Authority (SDA) Farooq Renzu Shah was the Chief Guest while Executive President of JK Bank Tafazul Hussain was Guest of Honour.
President HR JK Bank Rouf Bhat, Editor JK Bank Sajad Bazaz besides noted scholar Dr Shamsul Rehman Shams.
“The Role of SSS towards social service was appreciated .Chairman SSS Showkat Ahmad Khanyari and Tafazual Hussain thanked Chairman JK Bank for providing cash assistance of Rs 100000 for the welfare of the patients,” a spokesman of SSS said in a statement.
General Secretary SSS Farooq Ahmad Matoo presented vote of thanks to the guests and participants.
