SMC Commr’s visit brings demolitions again

Srinagar, Dec 3: The Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Commissioner, Dr GN Qasba’s City inspection Monday again brought demolitions along with the SMC claiming that four illegal structures were demolished during the daylong drive.
“Today Commissioner SMC Dr GN Qasba inspected various areas of the City including Ali Masjid, Dr Ali Jan Road, Soura, Anchar, Karan Nagar, Jehangir Chowk and Amira Kadal. Around four illegal structures were demolished,” a SMC handout said.
“All the encroachments from Karan Nagar to Amira Kadal bridge were wiped off under the supervision of Commissioner SMC,” the handout said.
“Meanwhile Anti Polythene Officer Mir Mansoor with the assistance of his squad seized around 20 KGs of banned polythene bags during the drive which was completely being monitored by Dr Qasba.”
He was accompanied by senior officials including Joint Commissioner Planning Farzana Naqshbandi.
