Polythene seized; fruit, veg destroyed

Baramulla, Dec 4: During the market checking at Baramulla 150 Kgs of polythene were seized from different shopkeepers and fined Rs. 3600/- on-the-spot, besides 50 Kgs of rotten vegetables and fruits have also been destroyed during the checking, an official statement said.
Meanwhile, during market checking in Sopore 300 Kgs of polythene were seized from various shopkeepers besides 100 Kgs of rotten vegetables and fruits were destroyed by the checking squad.
