ZGM, Dr Ahad’s books to be released on Friday

Srinagar, Dec 5: Two books “Kashmir Story Hope and Despair” by prominent columnist Z G Muhammad and “Kashmir: Triumph and Tragedies” by Dr Abdul Ahad are scheduled to be released on 7 December (Friday) at 2:30 PM at Lala Rukh Hotel here. The books have been published by Gulshan Books Srinagar. GK Foundation will host the event.
A seminar on “Freedom of Expression with Special Reference to Social Media” is being organised by the GK Foundation on the occasion.
The speakers at the seminar include J&K’s Chief Information Commissioner, GR Sufi, Prof Hameeda Nayeem of Kashmir University, author and civil society activist, Dr Altaf Hussain and columnists Arjimand Hussain Talib, Abdul Majid Zargar and Aijaz-ul-Haque.
The reviews on the books would be presented by Dr Maroof Shah and Dr Javaid Iqbal.
The book “Kashmir Story Hope and Despair” by Z G Muhammad is dedicated to noted journalist late Qaisar Mirza - who tirelessly reported for VOA and Associated Press from 1990 to 2002- till his tragic death in an accident.
