Burglars strike Nigeen shop

Srinagar, Dec 6: Burglars struck a readymade garments shop on the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday and decamped with goods worth lakhs of rupees.
The outlet owner said burglars sneaked into “Hyward International”, a shop near Saida Kadal after breaking open the iron shutter. “Goods including shoes, jackets, jeans and sweaters have been stolen,” the owner said.
As per the area locals, they happened to see the thieves when they were leaving the spot. “We told police that they were around ten in number and had come in three vehicles,” they said.
Police has lodged a case in this regard and started investigations. Meanwhile the locals have appealed Deputy Inspector General of Police Syed Ahafadul Mujtaba to look into the matter.
