Merge NC into Cong: PDP to Omar
Srinagar, Dec 7: Suggesting Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to merge his party National Conference into Congress, opposition PDP Friday said that the vote share in the LC polls was a precursor to the downfall of NC which has had a very important position on the state’s political map. “They might have won all the seats but the vote percentage itself is an indication that NC has a tough time ahead,” the PDP spokesman Nayeem Akhter told KNS.
He said that Omar Abdulah has ruined National Conference. “Omar has brought National Conference to such a stage where they had to rely on Congress to fight PDP.” Nayeem said, adding that the vote percentage was a testimony to the fact that PDP has emerged as the single largest regional Party in JK. “You will see that in next assembly elections, National Conference will face the music and will find it very tough on almost all the seats,” predicted Akhter.
