JK students meet Omar, Dr Farooq in Delhi
Share experience of Wattan Ko Jano tour
New Delhi, Feb 9: A group of 160 students from Jammu & Kashmir met Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah and Union Minister of New and Renewable Energy Dr. Farooq Abdullah, here today.
The group is on Wattan Ko Jano tour which is sponsored jointly by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India and State Rehabilitation Council, Jammu & Kashmir.
Speaking on the occasion Dr Farooq called upon the young students to follow the path of truth, righteousness and secularism. He asked them to take advantage of vast opportunities available in the field of education and sports in the country.
Emphasizing on energy saving, the Minister said that it is important to conserve the natural resources for sustainable development. Omar and Dr Farooq had detailed interaction with these students. The students narrated the experiences of their visit to different parts of the Country and resolved to contribute in the progress of Jammu & Kashmir.
