Batamaloo reels under darkness
SYED IMRAN ALI HAMDANI
Srinagar, Feb 10: People of many areas of Batamaloo including Firdousabad, Doubi Mohalla and Bazar Batamaloo are up in arms against the PDD for failing to restore power supply in the area. A delegation from the area told Greater Kashmir that Feeder 1 catering to the area has developed some technical snag since today evening. Since then power supply has not been restored causing immense problems to the inhabitants. When contacted, the Chief Engineer PDD Muzaffar Ahmad Matoo said some people were not allowing the PDD to restore the power supply. “We had diverted the Feeder 4 to Feeder 1. But a group of people are not allowing to restore the power supply saying it will cause overloading to the Feeder. Our men are on the spot and they are trying to sort out the matter at the earliest,” the CE said.
