Ridiculous decision

The `wise' decision Sonia ji has taken by rejecting the resignation of a corrupt minister, Peerzada Muhammad Sayeed, is beyond one's comprehension.
        On one side she and her party claim that the Congress party will erode the roots of corruption from the society but on the other side the party  favours the same.What does it mean?
