K-resolution must for peace: JKLF (R)
Srinagar: Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (R) on Thursday said resolution of Kashmir issue was indispensable for abiding peace in the subcontinent.
In a statement today, JKLF warned that Kashmir would become a vast graveyard if the Kashmir issue was not resolved. He claimed over 1.5 lakh people in Kashmir were martyred and 10000 others subjected to enforced disappearances for the past 22 years.
“About five lakh Kashmiris passed through the trials and tribulations of jails and interrogation centres,” he said, adding that this all was done by the armed forces under the protection of draconian laws like TADA, POTA, AFSPA.
Meanwhile, Front has welcomed the statement of the UN special diplomat for human rights, Margret Seeka, recommending immediate revocation of AFSPA and PSA in Jammu Kashmir.
