Cooperate in smooth conduct of proceedings: Speaker to Legislators
All Party Legislators’ Meet
Jammu, Feb 17: Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Speaker Muhammad Akbar Lone has sought cooperation of the legislators for smooth conduct of proceedings during the budget session commencing from February 23.
The Speaker was addressing the All Party Legislators’ meeting convened to discuss issues with regard to conduct of the business and other arrangements for the session.
The Legislators highlighted various issues and gave their valuable suggestions for holding the house proceedings in a congenial atmosphere in accordance with norms of parliamentary democracy.
The Speaker welcomed the suggestions of the members and assured that the proceedings would be held in a cordial manner and every public representative would be given ample opportunity to raise the public issue of his constituency.
On the occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand, Minister for Rural Development, Law and Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Sagar assured the Speaker on the behalf of the Government that full support will be extended for smooth functioning of Assembly up to the satisfaction of the legislators.
Advisor to Chief Minister and Chief Whip National Conference (NC) Mubarak Gul, besides the Legislators Chaudhary Muhammad Aslam, Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta, Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen, Harsh Dev Singh, Abdul Gaffar Sofi, Ashok Kumar Khajuria, Ashwani Kumar Sharma besides Secretary Assembly, M. Ramzan were attended the meeting.
