Cabinet meets, discusses budget 2012-13

Jammu, Feb 21: The State Cabinet which met here Tuesday discussed the budgetary proposals for 2012-13 as also the Governor’s address.
Official sources said the cabinet met under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, this evening and deliberated upon the proposed budgetary proposals presented by the Finance and Planning Department. The annual budget is to be presented in the state legislature on March 5.
The cabinet also discussed the Governor’s address to be presented in the joint session of the legislature on February 23.
Sources said the Cabinet also discussed the important bills which will be introduced by the government in the Legislative assembly.
They said that the Chief Minister also discussed with his cabinet colleagues, possible strategy to be adopted against the combined onslaught of the opposition parties.
