Highlighting villages
I congratulate Greater Kashmir team for having started a separate page for highlighting issues related to various districts of the valley. This is a very great step indeed. The local issues of mis-governance, official apathy and developmental stories has very little space in most of the local English dailies but for the last few months I have been noticing that the local issues of Ganderbal, Pulwama, Budgam and other districts have been given a good space by Greater Kashmir and this must surely have resulted in increased readership of GK in these areas . How could a person sitting in Srinagar know what is happening in remote area of Khag or Tral? GK was the only paper to report about the outbreak of skin disease in Khag ares of Budgam . This was only possible when a space has been provided to make such issues public. I request you to give more space for highlighting such issues in the same way as is being done for city issues in the city page. A full page must be provided for this by the management.
