PDP enacting political drama: A M Sagar
GK NEWS NETWORK
Jammu, Feb 24: Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ali Muhammad Sagar today took on PDP for its repeated attacks on the state government and Chief Minister and termed its protests in the house and subsequent walkouts just politics and drama.
He said the Chief Minister was seriously taking the issue of corruption at various forums. “People Democratic Party (PDP) and its president Mehbooba Mufti was in the habit of attacking the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and his family time and again out of political reasons,” Sagar said.
“The opposition is leveling allegations of corruption on the government and its minister without waiting for the outcome of the investigations. The CM himself is monitoring the corruption cases at various constitutional and other forums. He added that corruption in public sphere is a problem; there is no doubt about it”.
Attacking the opposition PDP, he said it was non-serious about the issues of public concern. To raise the issue of corruption, the opposition would get many chances i.e during Question Hour, Discussion on Governor’s address, General Budget discussion, Chief Minister’ reply, and during Grants of different ministries. “This is not the way of registering protest by completely stalling the proceedings of the legislature,” he said.
