CBI opens anti-corruption Court in Kashmir

Srinagar, Feb 26: The Central Government has issued a notification approving opening of CBI anti-corruption Court in Srinagar.
 Officials said the Court will start functioning here from March 1, 2012. There are around 12 anti-corruption CBI courts in the Country and in J&K one anti-corruption CBI court was running in Jammu. The litigants from summer capital had to face inconvenience in traveling to Jammu to appear in the Court proceedings at Jammu.
 Sources said that it was due to sustained and personal efforts of KL Raina, SP CBI Srinagar who approached the concerned authorities at Department of Personnel and Training under Prime Minister’s office, getting the court sanctioned for Srinagar.
