Disappearance of Executive Engineer

MANZOOR-UL-HASSAN

Srinagar, Feb 28: Police have failed to trace whereabouts of an Executive Engineer Jagdeep Singh Bali of Magarmal Bagh here who is missing since February 18.
With passing of every moment, Bali’s family is becoming concerned over his well being.
On the fateful day Bali left his residence at 7:30 pm, leaving his daughter Amandeep Kaur and son Abhaydeep Singh unaware at home, and wife at Jammu.
Amandeep has not eaten anything since her father went missing. “I never stopped praying for my father in past 10 days,” she said.
Her voice broke with grief as she spoke. In choked voice she described her father as hardworking and caring. “He is a great dad as he never cursed or beat us. He is our backbone….,” she said and broke down.
Jagdeep is working at PHE department’s Monitoring Division as Executive Engineer.
“Work was very important to him. He really loved what he did,” his son Abhay said.
The hapless family members said that they received some reports that Bali was last seen at Nowgam Railway Station on February 19. Family and friends have completed extensive searches at his relatives places in Baramulla, Jammu, Srinagar and its neighborhoods, but to no avail.
Police has also unsuccessfully searched around the city rivers, Guruduwaras, shelters, hospitals and other community services.
“Bali was last seen at Nowgam Railway Station. We are looking for clues on the rail routes. We have issued a flag message to all police stations to find some clues,” SHO Sheergari Muhammad Ashgar told Greater Kashmir.
Jagmohan Sigh Raina President All Parties Sikh Coordination Committee has sought intervention of higher officials including IGP Kashmir SM Sahai and Divisional Commissioner Kashmir to help family locating him.
