Daily wagers protest
Srinagar: As part of the country wide protest programme of trade unions the Jammu & Kashmir Daily Wagers Joint Action Forum (JKDWJAF) carried out a protest demonstration here at Press Enclave on Tuesday.
Hundreds of daily wagers belonging to Higher Education, Forest and other departments assembled here and raised slogans against the government for their “anti-employee” policies.
The local fund employees in the various colleges said that SRO 64 should be done away by the government so that daily wagers appointed after 1994 are regularized. They alleged that the Higher Education department higher ups resorted to pick and choose policy while regularizing services of 129 persons working in different colleges.
