CRPF holds investiture ceremony
Srinagar, Feb 3: Paramilitary CRPF Srinagar sector today conducted an investiture ceremony for presentation of DGs commendation disc and letter to officers and men who have done outstanding work in Kashmir in various operations in maintaining law and order, a CRPF spokesman said.
He said Special DG CRPF, Anirudh Uppal, who was the chief guest presented the medals to the recipients.
Among those who received the medals are: Dr. R P Meharda, IGP CRPF Srinagar (Golden Disc), P K Singh, DIG CRPF Srinagar South, Marianus Minj, DIG CRPF Baramulla, Mohsen Shahedi Commandant and PRO CRPF, P K Singh, Commandant 75 Bn, Vinay Negi, Commandant 115 (Golden Disc) and P K Mehra, Commandant 44 Bn.
As many as 43 officers and men received the award, he said.
He said Anirudh Uppal congratulated the officers and men for the work and urged all to strive for excellence in all operational and administrative tasks while maintaining utmost integrity and respect for human rights and values.
