Chattipadshahi residents complain of poor sanitation
Srinagar, Feb 5: The inhabitants and traders of Chattipadshahi Chowk, Kathidawraza have complained of poor sanitation of roads and drainage system in the area even as they accused the Srinagar Municipality Corporation (SMC) of neglecting them.
“We have been requesting the SMC officials about the poor sanitation in the area around Chattipadshahi and Kathidawraza Chowk but no one paid any heed. This is despite the fact that we have been regularly paying sanitation fee to the SMC but the service is not being provided,” the traders said.
“The local Safaiwalas hardly do their work. We request the SMC higher ups to look into the matter as the area has got huge influx of devotees to Makhdoom Sahib(RA) Shrine and the Chattipadsahi Guruduwara,” the complainants said.
