A R Shaheen, Akhoon call on CM
Jammu, Jan 11: Former Minister and former Parliament Member Abdul Rashid Shaheen and former legislator from Hazratbal, Muhammad Syed Akhoon called on Chief Minister Omar Abdullah here on Wednesday, an official spokesman said.
“While discussing various public issues with the Chief Minster, A R Shaheen lauded the quick response shown by the Chief Minister at the hour of need of the people,” the spokesman said.
Shaheen said that Chief Minister’s personal monitoring of the situation led to swift restoration of essential public services, disrupted due to heavy snow fall in the Valley and parts of Jammu division by infusing energy and zest in government functionaries to redouble their efforts to restore the system.
Meanwhile Senior NC leader and former Legislator from Hazratbal, Muhammad Syed Akhoon called on Chief Minister, here.
“Lauding Omar Abdullah’s dynamism and leadership qualities, Akhoon congratulated him for personally monitoring the restoration of public services to the people those were severely damaged due to heavy snowfall,” the spokesman said.
“Your personal monitoring and overseeing the restoration work encouraged the concerned departments who put in redoubled efforts and got relief to the people as soon as possible,” spokesman quoted Akhoon as having said.
Akhoon also discussed public interest issues with the Chief Minister which included the compensation of fire sufferers of Hazratbal. He also discussed the issue of Home Guard personnel and requested the Chief Minister for early addressing of their genuine demands.
