ERA discusses flyover construction with Div Com

Srinagar, Jan 11: Chief Executive Officer, Economic Reconstruction Agency (ERA) Saurabh Bhagat Wednesday called on Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon and discussed various issues including rehabilitation of shopkeepers whose structures have been acquired for construction of Elevated Expressway Corridor (Flyover) from Jahangir Chowk to Rambagh-Natipora in Srinagar.
 The meeting was attended by Addl DC/Collector Srinagar Muhammed Aslam Qadri, Director ERA, Khalid Muzaffar, Director (Transport) ERA, OP Dubey.
 JKPCC is presently constructing a commercial complex, near Exhibition Grounds Jehangir Chowk for rehabilitation of the shopkeepers. “This complex will have four-floors and a semi-basement floor for parking of vehicles. Two floors have been earmarked for rehabilitation of the shops and godowns for the displaced shop-keepers of the project as also for those who were in possession of shops in the gutted structure, while two floors will be used for office purposes,” an official handout said.
 Meanwhile the ERA CEO distributed “cheques in lieu of displacement grant and one month income loss among some displaced khokhawallas of flea market of Jehangir Chowk who have voluntarily removed their Khokas.”
