SNOW REMOVED FROM BUDGAM ROADS: DDC
Budgam, Jan 15: Snow clearance on various intra and inter district roads in Budgam is going on in full swing and has been completed on almost all the main roads including Indhira Gandhi International Airport Road, Chadoora-Charar-e-Sharief-Pakherpora and Yousmarg, Budgam-Khansahib-Raithan-Aarizal-Aripanthan- Beerwa, Khag and Magam roads. These roads have also been thrown open for vehicular movement. Snow clearance on various roads was also conducted on priority in Shia dominated areas where Chahaluum of the Martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his associates is being observed.
This was stated by the District Development Commissioner Budgam, Muhammad Rafi who along with a team of officers of district administration conducted extensive tour of the various areas of Budgam to oversee post-snowfall arrangements.
Besides, overseeing the snow clearance operation, Rafi also took stock of the availability of essential commodities in various areas especially in far flung and remote villages of the district.
On way, he also interacted with the people and enquired about the availability of the basic amenities and essential commodities.
The Deputy Commissioner has asked all the officers and Field agencies to be present on their places of deployment with punctuality so that people do not face any difficulty.
